There are elected positions for student representatives on the University Graduate School Board. The Dean of the University Graduate School has a Research Students Advisory Committee, comprising one representative from each Faculty, which meets up to four times a year, addressing concerns and issues of students as well as providing a voice for students in the decision-making process. Each Faculty has at least one position for a graduate Student on its Faculty Board. There is also a position for a research student on the Academic Board of UTS. The Students' Association has an elected research student representative.
